On 18 November, BNBU celebrated its 20th anniversary. The activities included: the 20th Anniversary Development Ceremony, a Roundtable Forum with laureates of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Member of Academy, and more.
On 14 April, the School of AI and Liberal Arts was established, dedicated to cultivating new-age talent with both technical AI skills and liberal arts literacy.
UIC was officially renamed Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) in March.
UIC began celebrating its 20th anniversary on 9 March.
UIC unveiled the UIC Boston Center in Januray. The Center is home to the Institute of Life and Art, the Whitehead Research Center, and the UIC Alumni Association of America.
The "1+1+1" joint seed fund pool was launched in September. Each will contribute annually from 2024 to 2026, including the Ministry of Science and Technology and UIC and HKBU. The cumulative seed fund will be approximately RMB 90 million.

Under the scheme, which will run from 2024 to 2026, each party will contribute annually: The Ministry of Science and Technology with RMB 10 million, and UIC and HKBU with no less than RMB 10 million and HKD 10 million, respectively.
